Sperry Van Ness International Corporation (SVNIC) one of the most recognizable companies in the world in the field of commercial real estate has announced a name change to the abbreviated SVN.

The Sperry Van Ness brand appeared in 1987 out of a desire to improve the commercial real estate industry for all interested parties. The company started working with franchises in 2003. A few years later, one of the creators left the business. In 2010, Mark Van Ness, the company's founder and CEO for 22 years, resigned, appointing Kevin Magiacomo as president and CEO. Since then, more than 100 additional offices have been opened, the company has participated and won places in prestigious ratings, is developing a system of advanced technologies, launched new types of services and has become international.

"We have been developing our international direction and now we are moving to a name that will be easily recognizable all over the world, while remaining true to our values that make our people, platform and meaning unique," says Majacomo. "We have been calling ourselves SVN for many years and even our domain looks like svn.com therefore, the transition to the name SVN is organic for us."

Over 28 years of operation, SVN has seen record growth in 2015, opening 25 additional offices in America and abroad. SVN now employs more than 1,400 consultants in 200 offices around the world. "As the youngest participant in the ranking of the 10 most famous brands in the commercial real estate industry, we have a significant advantage – being born in the Internet era, there is nothing surprising for us in using advanced technologies and our partner networks to provide unique opportunities for all market participants," comments Majacomo.
